Graham Robert Quigley L. LB.
Graham was born in Glasgow in 1948. He graduated LLB Honors from Birmingham University in 1970, Articles at Pinsent and Co in Birmingham and was subsequently admitted as a Solicitor in 1975. Graham has been practicing at Waugh & Musgrave since 1974 and has settled in the Cockermouth area. He deals in all general practice but has a niche practice in ‘Operator Licensing relating to Goods Vehicles and Buses and Coaches’ and the criminal side of transport operations. The following subjects are areas Graham has expert knowledge in:
Graham is also a Member of the Panel of the Road Haulage Association Solicitors and a Member of a Specialist Group of Transport Lawyers.
Roger Scott L. LB., M. A.
Roger Scott is Assistant Solicitor, obtaining his law degree at Sheffield University in 1972 and then an MBA in 1983. Roger worked for Rochdale Borough Council as a manager before joining Waugh & Musgrave in 1990.
His prime area of expertise relates to conveyancing and tenancy, together with some planning applications, appeals and commercial work. Roger gives quality service and has built up a very loyal client base.
John Lancaster F. Inst L. Ex
John Lancaster is a Legal Executive, working part time and dealing almost exclusively with Wills, Probates and Powers of Attorney. He brings a wealth of experience, previously working in Cockermouth for Jackson & Bliss before joining Waugh & Musgrave.
Andy Taylor
Andy Taylor is responsible for the office management and accounting. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB).
Support Team
The team is completed by the legal secretaries, Shirley Quigley and Diane Watson, alongside Shirley Key on reception. They provide excellent front of house service to the firm and have the expertise to ensure a smooth running of the day to day operations.
